Does Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo ';No More Tears'; prevent you from crying?

are u serious? or course it doesn't it's just not going to burn your eyes if you happen to get a little in there. read the label if it doesn't claim to do it it doesn't do it.Does Johnson %26amp; Johnson's baby shampoo ';No More Tears'; prevent you from crying?
If you mix a bit of that shampoo, a little sugar and a ton of water in a spray bottle it is a remedy for if you get shot with pepper spray. It helps break it down off your skin so you can wash it off.Does Johnson %26amp; Johnson's baby shampoo ';No More Tears'; prevent you from crying?
It doesn't PREVENT you from crying (IE: You can't rub it in your eyes and expect to not cry). It merely has less of a chance of making you cry as opposed to using regular shampoo. It's not as harsh in chemicals.
yup it does it doesn't so much prevent you from crying

it just doesn't make you cry at all

i had to use it to clean my eyes

weird i no, but u got to do what u got to do

it was just like putting nothing on my eye really
well if your a toddler, i'd assume that sometimes the toddler would cry even if it werent for the cleanser. but ';no more tears'; meant that it won't burn your eyes like regular shampoo--hope this helps =] vicki
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo鈥?br>

it says'; no more tears'; %26amp; they mean the tears that are caused by irritating your eyes due to the chemicals in the shampoo

but of course if your sad and wanna cry the shampoo won't help...lol
I don't think it ';PREVENTS'; you from crying but it would just keep your eyes from getting irritated from the chemicals of normal shampoo.
It doesn't have the same irritation factor as other shampoos. It's not so much crying as your eye not hurting as much, though I guess that may cause crying.
No more than I have been entertained by Baby Magic.
Not if you use it as a suppository. It is less caustic than many shampoos, but is designed to be used on your hair only.
No, it just doesn't irritate eyes if the shampoo gets in them while you were washing your childs hair.
I agree with Katie B. I use the shampoo on my 6 month old and if it comes in contact with her eyes it doesn't make her cry (or irritate her eyes). She definitely can still cry; she does it daily!
You could pour a few huge globs in your eyes and find out.
It just means that if it gets into your eyes it won't burn.
No, it just doesn't burn the eyes like most shampoos.
to enjoy the load of benefit u gotta drink at least half the bottle. besides it'll tickle your a$$when u fart bubbles.
Hecks no! I got it in my eyes once, and it stung just as bad!

Well, maybe not AS bad, but it still hurt!
its supposed to. But if you cry for some other reason, that's somethin else...
not that i experience.
Yes.
No.
yes, squirt it in your eyes before you watch a sad movie, then you won't cry.
no...but it doesn't irritate your eye.
no
yes, yes, it does...
no. it just does irritate the eyes

Is it ok to use adult shampoo on my 7 month old baby?

Ok mommies , this is a silly question but I wanted to know your opinions. The dr told me to use head and shoulders for cradle cap and now its time to switch back to regular shampoo. Is it ok to use adult shampoo on my 7 month old baby?
I wouldn't. I think it would be too strong for their sensitive skin and also it would burn their eyes. My baby's pediatrician also told me to use head and shoulders or selson blue for cradle cap, but only to use it once a week and to use only a tiny bit. I think once the cradle cap is gone, you should go back to the baby shampoo because it is so much more gentle for little babies! :)Is it ok to use adult shampoo on my 7 month old baby?
no. if it gets in their eyes it will burn them.
I wouldn't do that because it will really burn the eyes. I still use kid - tear free shampoo with my 4 year old. My ped. said to put some baby oil gel on the scalp and rub it in, then brush thru it with a baby brush and then wash it out. You have to wash it several times to get the baby oil out, but it does help after a few applications. It worked really well on my second. Also, cradle cap will cure itself with just regular washing and care.
For what it's worth, baby shampoo - Johnson's in particular - is no more 'gentle' than other shampoos. It has a numbing agent in it that numbs the eyes so that it doesn't hurt the baby.
Okay my baby had that and what you can also do is but some cream like curel or baby oil on the baby's head in the morning and in the afternoon apply some more and then softly brush it out that worked for me ..
My doctor told me to use head and shoulders too... but she also said that when the cradle cap goes away go back to the baby shampoo and also to alternate baby shampoo and head and shoulders every other time so that it doesn't irritate his head....
I would not do it. It's too strong for a child that young and also if it got into his/her eyes - Yikes! that would sting.
Switch back to baby shampoo. Adult shampoo burns when you get it in your eyes. Don't subject your baby to this, buy the NO tears brand.

Can I use jhonsons baby shampoo and lotion on my puppy?

I have a 3 month old smooth coat chihuahua and I was woundering if its ok to use jhonsons baby shampoo on her just for today!????Can I use jhonsons baby shampoo and lotion on my puppy?
I'd say the shampoo is good, but not lotion. It would just be messy and she'll probably try to lick it and who knows what that would do to her stomach. Can I use jhonsons baby shampoo and lotion on my puppy?
You might consider getting some puppy wipes which PetSmart and PetCo sell. They are ph balanced for dog skin. This way you won't be giving any unnecessary bath. If she got real dirty and needs a full bath, then no it wouldn't hurt to use the Johnson's Baby Shampoo, but don't use the lotion.

Check with your Vet about how often to bathe your dog because when they examine her they will make recommendations from seeing her skin and coat.

The wipes are great for keeping the pup clean, cleaning paws, wiping the pup down when needed without giving a bath.
Not good to use any kind of shampoo that's for humans, it strips the oil from the skin and coat.

Get a good non-detergent dog shampoo like HyLite, that's what show people and good handlers use - cleans but leaves their coats gorgeous. It's a bit more expensive, but goes a long way.

you probably can use baby shampoo.

i use on my border collie children's tee-tree shampoo as it has no harsh ingredients and it works a treat, her fur is soft and silky with a lovely healthy shine!

try it.
i believe u can but i would call a vet to make sure. if shes not dirty i wouldnt even give her a bath. but i wouldnt use the lotion though! be carefull puppys are very sensitive at this age. good luck
shampoo not lotion. I have used shampoo on mine just not ther lotion would not be safe..
I wouldnt just to be safe. You can ask your vet.
No!!!!! Buy some pet shampoo.
Yes, its fine. Its perfectly safe and leaves them soft like a baby :)
why are u giving a rat a bath?

it prevents the burning sensation in your eyes..

Does using baby shampoo everyday cause men's hair to thin?

I don't see how it could. It's for babies so it has to be gentle enough to put on their hair and scalp. Plus, most of the time, baby shampoo has a higher percentage of water in it so it doesn't hurt when it gets in their eyes.Does using baby shampoo everyday cause men's hair to thin?
I don't think it would necessarily cause thinning, but it's really not the best shampoo, for someone not a baby, to use. The main reason it's used for babies is for the non tearing factor. It's really not that good on your hair. If you use it because it's cheap, Suave actually makes shampoo for men that's not expensive.Does using baby shampoo everyday cause men's hair to thin?

no. that just dries out ur skin.
No get a mild facial soap or a foaming facial wash. They dont have to be expensive ones. I dont think shampoo (even a mild one) would be all that nice on your face.

The suggestion that Judith gave you would not work on my child, or any of the ones I've babysat, because it scares them, but I would try that first, and if that doesn't work, then look into these. That way you're not spending money you don't need to if her suggestion works!
You don't ned one of those things, you just need to learn howto shampoo the baby's hair properly. lay the baby down in the tub with 1 1/2 to 2 inches of water, get a wash cloth, and wte the baby's hair with the wet cloth, then massage shampoo into her hair. next take the wet cloth and wipe the bubbles off , continually dipping the cloth in the water and wiping off the bubbles until all the shampoo is gone.No tears, no wet face, happy baby with clean hair.
i got one at a dollar store.
Well none of the Johnson and Johnson products worked for my little one. She was highly allergic to all of the products! I used Aveeno still no luck. But I've heard others saying Aveeno works really gud. U cud try some.

Is baby shampoo a good option for dry/ damaged hair? ?

I used to dye my hair bleach blonde for three years straight.

Since then I've let it grow back out and it's really long, about to my elbows. But it's got horrible split ends. I know I should get them cut off, but I'm doing it slowly because I don't want to lose the length.

So, is baby shampoo a good option?

If not, is there something else I should try? Is baby shampoo a good option for dry/ damaged hair? ?
no its going to make the hair dryer trust me and i only used it for 3 days and i could tell the difference what you want to do is wash and condition once every other day also do deep conditioner protein or organic once a week and if you want length there is a product called folicure it works miracles i saw results in 9mths my hair was at my shoulders and now its to the middle of my back and healthy and i barely have split ends and i have cut it at all not even a trim Is baby shampoo a good option for dry/ damaged hair? ?
Cutting the dead off will instantly make your hair healthy, and it will actually grow faster. If you really don't want to, you can use a shampoo specifically for damaged hair (Herbal Essances has one) and make sure not to wash your hair wit shampoo every single day.
Don't use baby shampoo. While it's gentle it doesn't do anything for your hair. I would use something more like Biolage or Joico. You can get the liter sets for $25 for shampoo and conditioner. They are huge and will last a really long time so that makes up for the price. Get the moisturizing one that goes with each line.

    Good Luck.
ya because baby shampoo is really gentle and doesn't strip hair like normal shampoos.

  • What shampoo is best to help dry hair on a baby?

My baby girl is 11 months old and for the past month I've noticed she gets very dry hair on the back of her head. It's so dry that it makes her hair stick up and I can't get it to not stick up. It looks like I never comb her hair. It's actually very cute and funny looking.I currently use Johnson %26amp; Johnson's baby shampoo with lavender. Are there any shampoos that help with dry hair on a baby? Do they make conditioners for babies? What shampoo is best to help dry hair on a baby?
I would use conditioner. There are baby conditioners out there, but really, you should be just fine to use the kind you use. Especially with the formaldehyde statistics coming out about all the baby shampoos, I am weary to recommend any baby product.

Just use your regular conditioner on the back of her head. If you just use it on the back, then you shouldn't have to worry about getting any in her eyes. What shampoo is best to help dry hair on a baby?
You could try California Baby Hair Conditioner. I've heard good things about it!: http://www.diapers.com/Product/ProductDe鈥?/a>

You may want to consider switching your baby wash/shampoo. The ones put out by Johnson %26amp; Johnson have gotten some bad press lately. Read this: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con鈥?/a>

Aveeno is also put out by them and has the same issue. California Baby brand in general is clear though.. and I use a brand from Germany called Weleda. I used to use Aveeno but switched over after the study came out. California Baby and Weleda sold in Babies R Us or on Amazon.
I use the huggies brand of shampooing, its shea and cocoa butter, or something, and it smells great and leaves my daughters hair feeling soft and silky. I also have the Johnson and Johnson's baby shampoo with lavender and I found that it left my daughters hair lacking. It is worth a try. ALSO I have Organic baby wash and hair wash that I love. Check it out, at your local health nut store. My mum got it for me, and its quite nice.
You could go to kids shampoo they have conditioner in them I use suave for kids cherry its a 2 in one. Loreal has one too. But they also have shampoo and conditioner separate, look in the shampoo section at your store there are lots with no tear formula. Also, if the baby's hair is short I use to use baby lotion on my kids' heads. It helps with dry scalp and cradle cap, and it will train the hair to stay down. You could also try that. Good luck.
i have the same problem my self, i know im not a baby but my hair gets extremely dry i gotta use conditioner or wash my hair every other day..

my daughters hair, i wash every other day because her hair gets dry after one day and the second its greasy idk how and idk why but it is and i use johnsons and johnsons head to toe..
She doesn't need shampoo at all. There are plenty of adults who don't shampoo their hair. It's just too drying.

You can wet it and then put conditioner in it. Use a mild conditioner- it will be fine for her even if it's not made for 'babies.'

I shampoo my three year old's hair only about once a week, my own, every three days or so, and only on the crown. We both use a ton of conditioner, the same for both of us, treseme with vitamin B5.
    Aveeno Baby Wash

    works miracles!!

also only shampoo about every other day and use a little of your own conditioner even if its not meant for babies it will be ok
Its getting dried out from being washed too much. I would only actually use shampoo like once a week and wet/condition it as needed.
I just asked this question and I got some pretty great answers take a look http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
We started using Aveeno Baby shampoo and it works on my son really well. It's very mild and i think that's what helps him.

What shampoo should I use for my baby?

I know that Johnson's baby shampoo is standard but I want something that is healthy for my son's hair and scalp. He's 10 months old and I just think that this shampoo isn't good enough lol. Any suggestions? Thanks! What shampoo should I use for my baby?
California Baby Shampoo %26amp; Wash, its a lil costly but its smells great, hair is soft and shiny.

I hardly buy it, my SIL gets it for me , here and there, and a lil goes a LONG way. They have more then just shampoos, adults can use it as well. Works great with eczema.

http://www.californiababy.com/hair-body.鈥?/a>What shampoo should I use for my baby?
    ';I just think that this shampoo isn't good enough lol.';

Only you can really answer this; nobody here knows exactly what advertising has influenced you.

Does what you're using now not get his hair clean? If it does but simply does not seem ';good enough,'; you can probably solve your issues by buying the most expensive shampoo available in a mainstream shop.
I use Burts Bees for Babies shampoo on my sons hair. It is all natural and very conditioning. My son is bi-racial so he has a very coarse grade of hair and this shampoo works wonders. It makes it soft and shiny and very clean.
I use California Baby wash for my baby. Anything paraben free is good.
The peds office gave me a sample of Boudreaux's Baby Butt bath and shampoo wash. I think it worked great!
I was told to use Aveeno.
Johnson's head to toe baby wash :-)
Loreal makes a good one for kids......
    huggies?

If you have oily hair can you is it ok to use baby shampoo and conditioner?

It won't do it any harm but it isn't ideal for oily hair. Baby shampoo is all about maintaining the natural oils and not being too harsh on a baby's scalp. It may leave you hair looking a little lank.If you have oily hair can you is it ok to use baby shampoo and conditioner?
trust me, use andreolon anti-roos shampoo. Report Abuse

There are hundreds of shampoo's and conditioner's. I'm sure you can find one that is better for your hair. The baby stuff is for baby's with really fine/thin hair.

Can u give a cat a bath with baby shampoo?

    I don't see why not...Can u give a cat a bath with baby shampoo?
Yes, if it's very mild baby shampoo, not kids shampoo. Just make extra sure you rinse her fur super well.

Shampoo made for cats is better, but it can be expensive. A very mild baby shampoo is a good substitute if the cat really has to be bathed soon and no cat shampoo is available. Can u give a cat a bath with baby shampoo?
Yeap, mine I use a kind of shampoo sold by pro plan. but using baby shampoo is a good alternative. and by the way, it is unusual that a cat likes to be bathed, mine like it very much, but only every four or six days at intervals
Sure. Oh, and the person above me who thinks it's odd for a cat too like water, some breeds of cats don't mind water. Hairless cats love water.
Yes, special cat shampoo is better but baby shampoo is better than dog or normal shampoo.
I use Lavendar smelling soap. they smell nice and some people say it is a flea repelent! I beleive it... that is what i use and my kittens never have a flea issue! good luck!
No... ive used it and the cat came out ina rash. I dont know whats so diff about proper cat shampoo but there is a difference.

Can someone tell me how to get rid of dandruff on puppy?Gave him bath with baby shampoo vet said it was ok.?

But it did not work any suggestions? Can someone tell me how to get rid of dandruff on puppy?Gave him bath with baby shampoo vet said it was ok.?
    HI,

There is this brush, the brand is Goody, it's actually for humans to get rid of dandruff, it has copper bristles and scientists have proven that copper gets rid of dandruff so they made this brush. Anyway I used it on my dog, even though it is for humans, almost everyday and his dandruff went away. That's what I would suggest. The other thing is try not to bath the pup to much because there skin tends to get dry if you do! Good Luck! Can someone tell me how to get rid of dandruff on puppy?Gave him bath with baby shampoo vet said it was ok.?
I use Selsun Blue Shampoo with Conditioner. Do not use just the shampoo, or it will dry out the skin and you will have not accomplished anything.

Also have used Tegrin with Conditioner and Head and Shoulders with Conditioner, be careful, they have one kind that really stinks and hard to wash odor off the pup.

Be sure rinse rinse rinse well after the SECOND application.

Wash all bed linens that the pup sleeps on, if you brush the pup, be sure and wash the brush and dry well after good rinse.
';Dandruff'; is a symptom, not a condition. So, you need to find out what is causing the dandruff and treat it. Make sure you brush your puppy daily.
dandruff is often a result of a corn allergy. switch the puppy's food to a quality brand that does not contain any corn products.
In dogs baths can cause dandruff. you only need one every couple of months!just keep him brushed.

  • Is Johnson's Baby Shampoo okay for thinning hair?

My hair has been thinning out a lot lately, coming out in handfuls in the shower, and I'm wondering if baby shampoo would help since it's supposed to be more gentle. Is Johnson's Baby Shampoo okay for thinning hair?
my grandpa always used that.Is Johnson's Baby Shampoo okay for thinning hair?
It is more gentle, yes -- it can't hurt to try it. However, unless your scalp is extra sensitive naturally or from damage (sunburn, chemical burn, rash, etc) it probably will not help your situation.

I'm not sure if you know why your hair is falling out, but in general I'd give this advice. Ignore it if you've already done as such! :)

If you can afford it, I would take a trip to your family doctor or a walk in ';urgent care clinic'; and have them do simple blood tests for thyroid imbalance and a metabolic panel to check for evidence of vitamin deficiency/overdose. Losing handfuls of hair at once is nearly always a sign of something seriously wrong which should be addressed. On the up side, if it is in fact a thyroid or vitamin imbalance, it is very easy to treat with 100% effectivness -- just a pill a day. :)
    ....try a hair transplant!!!
I am a retired hairstylist so please take my advice. Baby shampoo is just the same as any other shampoo , just has extra chemicals to prevent 'tearing.'

Ask a professional or just visit a salon and purchase some appropriate shampoo. Links below.
i have very thin hair and i use baby shampoo all the time. i also use a thickening condition to bust it up a litte bit
    try castor oil.

Can i use baby shampoo to clean professional makeup brushes?(i have acne prone skin will this be okay)?

I only buy expensive professional brushes and I want to preserve their life span.

    Here's my routine.

I clean my brushes almost daily with a brush cleanser (just to get the color off of them).

    But...

Once a week I thoroughly wash them (gently!! dont ruffle the bristles too much!) with Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Just a little dab, and run under lukewarm water (never too hard, you could mess with the glue) until the water washes clean.

Press them gently onto a towel and let them dry on their side or upside down if at all possible. Don't place them face up as you can possible alter their shape while drying.

They will be soft, and clean. I've been using this technique for years and my brushes are still like new.

good luck :o)Can i use baby shampoo to clean professional makeup brushes?(i have acne prone skin will this be okay)?
Yes that will be perfectly fine. You don't need to buy any of those expensive brush cleaners when baby shampoo will do the same thing! Can i use baby shampoo to clean professional makeup brushes?(i have acne prone skin will this be okay)?
better to use something that will cut the oil, dawn dish liquid. make sure you rinse really good. and let them air dry
I've seen this question yesterday, it was just new that time. Hmmm... i read somebody's answer who said that there's actually no particular soap that you should use in cleaning your make up brushes. As long as it can clean it well, that's all that matters!
Yes baby shampoo is gentle,it will work let the brushes

    air dry though!!
Yes of course it is okay!! Although you might want to wash it with some antibacterial handsoap first!! I usually clean my brushes every other week or so with handsoap, and then shampoo and conditioner (just to keep the hairs soft and in good condition).

Is there anything wrong in using baby shampoo on adult hair?

    You're going to die!

PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate: This is a detergent-like chemical that

functions as a surfactant. Basically that means that it serves as a

';wetting agent'; to help reduce surface tension in the water and

promote smooth spreading of the shampoo. This is a gentler surfactant

than the chemical that is used in many shampoos, sodium lauryl

sulfate. Surfactants help to remove grease and cleanse the hair. Some

are mild, some are harsh; Johnson's Baby Shampoo has several of the

    milder surfactants in its ingredients.

    ';Nonionics such as polyethylene glycol (PEG) esters can play a number of roles in a shampoo system. For example, PEG-80 sorbitan laurate promotes mild cleansing...';

The reason it says ';Baby Shampoo'; on the lable is because the stuff is chemically designed to be absorbed by the babies head tissues and stored in the brain. It is part of a government plot, just like flouride in the drinking water (and the water you bathe in) to keep the populoation docile and dumb.

Chemical and Engineering News: What's That Stuff?

http://pubs.acs.org/cen/whatstuff/print/…Is there anything wrong in using baby shampoo on adult hair?
Using baby shampoo is fine because it is mild, compared to other drug store brands which contains chemicals that will cause build up . But if you use a lot of styling products, you will need to wash your hair a few times with baby shampoo to get the chemicals out.Is there anything wrong in using baby shampoo on adult hair?
no there is not, but it mite not be strong enough to clean your hair throughly. baby shampoo is not strong and of coarse lite enough for the babies hair since baby hair is fresh and has not been exposed to earth and everything else we adutls have been. so yea i mean it wont harm your hair but there are better products for your hair since you are older
it just doesn't clean hair as well as adult shampoo. lets say you have hair spray in your hair. adult shampoo will remove it with one rinse. baby shampoo will take a few washes more since it's not as strong. also it's kinda good for you. if you didn't already know, its bad to strip away all your natural oil in your head by showering too much and baby shampoo definitely won't do that.
I wouldn't think so. If it's safe for babies.. then it's obviously safe for adults!

Now i'm no expert but I personally like using baby shampoo on my hair. I share with my 2 year old daughter but still.. it's a one stop shop item at the grocery store.

I have semi-fine asian hair and it doesn't weigh my hair down like other shampoo and conditioners do LOL
Nope, and it is actually really healthy for your hair too, and Johnson's baby shampoo (lavender) is actually a really nice face wash too. It not only is gentle for the skin but also helps smooths it.
There is nothing wrong with it. I'm a 60 year old grandmother who has used baby shampoo on all of my children and myself. The shampoo is gentle and of course, non-tearing. IF your scalp starts to itch, make sure you rinse well.
No, the only difference that baby shampoo has with adult shampoo is that baby shampoo is carfully pH balanced and removed of irritants so that it does not sting the eye.
no not at all.. sometimes its better and you can use it daily, as with adult shampoo you are only suppose to do it every other day, because it could dry out And cause dandruff.

plus it smells good and makes your hair soft
    No not at all.

It's just called baby shampoo because it's really mild and won't harm a baby if it gets in the baby's eyes or something.

I use it to clean out my make-up brushes.
Doesn't have the moisterizers and deep down cleansers and dandruff controlls and stuff so it doesn't burn the eyes, but it is fine if your hair doesn't need all the extra stuff.
Just consider this...would you use anything on a baby that would be harmful? Of course you wouldnt so I would say go for it. Some brands actually make your hair softer because they dont contain harse chemicals found in ones designed for adult hair.
Not at all. i use to do it all the time when my skin was sensitive. I moved up to treseme but I promise there is nothing wrong with it. Does the same thing most other shampoos do.
no! it's actually better because it doesn't have as much harsh chemicals and it's more gentle on your hair. sometimes i use baby products like baby lotion and what not.
not at all. But if you feel the urge to cry over the littlest things and or your feel to lazy to go to the toilet to pee. Discontinue use immediately. On the up side. Its tear free ^-^
Nah. My dad uses Johnson and Johnson's Baby Shampoo because he has a sensitive scalp. It's just more gentle to his scalp and hair.
nah, its perfectly fine, its probably good for your hair, even beter then normal shampoo because there's no harsh chemichals
No. To tell the truth it is much safer because if the shampoo gets in your eyes, it would not sting or burn the eyes.
no it is just very gentle :)
    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=is+there+anything+w…
i use it all the time, keeps my really thick hair from being all ratty and tangled!!! i also use the baby spray in detangler!
Nope. It makes it smell nice and helps keep it soft. Nurses use it sometimes to watch elderly peoples hair, because its tear free.
No. and baby shampoo's probably a lot gentler if it gets in your eyes...

and i think baby shampoo smells better...
No nothing wrong its actually good for your hair cause of the gentle ingredients
I don't see any reason why. It makes your hair softer, its tearless, and it functions just like adult shampoo. Go for it! : )
It's good to use if you want to get hairdye out(semi-perminate only)

but if you use it a lot your hair will get dry.
You can't make your own decision about that? You have to ask? Seriously?
Other than the fact that it's just really diluted, so it's not gonna clean as well if your hair's really dirty, no.
Well baby shampoo is softer and does not hert your eyes adult shampoo is the opposite.
hahahaha that's so funny though, nop at all, my aunt uses baby jhonson's and there isn't anything wrong with it?

    take care...
no youre hair is just gona smell diffrent

i like the smell of baby shampoo for some reason

Will using baby shampoo help with my acne ?

My friend Leslie uses it to wash her face and I was just wondering if it was a good thing to doWill using baby shampoo help with my acne ?
some acne is bacteria, so you may need an antibiotic for itWill using baby shampoo help with my acne ?
try antibacterial soap.....worked for my daughter
    Colloidal Silver.

Buy a small bottle with a pump top and spray on your face 2-3 times a day. It is distilled water with 100% pure Silver particles suspended in a positive charge. You can Google it for more info, but I GUARANTEE you will be pleased. You can send me flowers later. Good Luck.
try alcohol or sea breeze or any clean and clear acne products
    No, that's pretty stupid.
u are best of going to see a docter who can prescribe you with something i used to have acne severly about 2 years ago so i went to see me my gp and he gave me a tablet which i took and i have smooth , soft skin (look on the pic) aswell ur better of doing that than using anything else to agrvate your skin nothing looks worse than spots xx
Depends on your own skin, if it irritates it more than stop using it. Try dove sensitive skin soap.
don't think it will clear your acne..this will

    raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar

heat a qt of water, add 3 tblspns vinegar, make a tent over the pot, cover your head with a towel, steam your face. then dab some vinegar on your skin to clean, do this process 2 more times, then squeeze the blackheads. mix 1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar, chilled, dab on face to close pores and tone skin....

    as a skin care routine,

    raw unpasturized apple cider vinegar..

the following 2 testimonials can be seen at http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/acne.ht鈥?/a>

Angelina O, has found that applying ACV topically to her face several times a day (4 or more times) has cured her of a ';very bad complexion';. She reports that she applies it straight and that while it burns her skin a bit, it still works like a miracle!

    Cheryl writes, ';My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up.';

to drink it, put it in honey and water, or apple juice--tastes like cider..cost is 5 dollars a qt at the healthfood store
First of all- DONT use alcohol on a regular basis, the people who told you to dont know much. Alcohol dries your skin badly...so thats NOT a good idea.

Baby Shampoo wont do anything for you skin, it wont treat anything.

Use something like Clearasil Daily Facewash, or Proactive, both work very well.
What it will do is dry your skin out considerably - it's very harsh! See a skin specialist and have a proper assessment and use the correct medications, if any are required that is. Good luck! The more often you leave your skin clean [no make up etc] the better for you, most times. However, check it out with the doc.
    no, thats just a myth
No. But don't take my word for it. I'm just 13. But the last time I checked baby shampoo is only use for your hair and babies' at that. Maybe you can though. I guess the formula is soft enough to clean your face without making it worse. Is it working for your friend?
No. It won't help at all. You need to use ProActive to get rid of it.
baby shampoo could possibly help with your acne, but I wouldn't think you'd have to put it on your face to do so. Try washing your hair with it. A part of the reason you break out could be the ingredients in your shampoo or conditioner. They can clog your pores if not rinsed thoroughly. As for your face, try using neutrogena's line. it works well for me.
    nomes...thats ridikulus!!!
no use rubbing alcohol it will clean up ur face

What can i use to make my hair softer...iv being using baby shampoo?

im 21 will baby shampoo still b good for my hair coz i have straight hair but it doesnt seem to make it soft what other products are thereWhat can i use to make my hair softer...iv being using baby shampoo?
i have straight hair too that can get a little waveyat time but i use dangerous straight by herbal essence, it makes your fair soft andkeepsmight straight all the time for mee.i love it!What can i use to make my hair softer...iv being using baby shampoo?
It really depends on your hair type. I use Garnier Fructis or L'Oreal. Your hair gets used to products as well, so switch off every time you buy new shampoo and conditioner.

Dove and Pantene ProV always left my hair feeling oily and heavy, store brands dry it out, and herbal essances have to many fragrences it seemed to damage my hair. Although I haven't used Herbal Essances in at least 5 years it may have changed.
Deep Conditioners, V05 hot oil treatment is great, also try using a leave-in conditioner. All of these products can be found at your local Wal-Mart for prices ranging from a few bucks to $10.
try using a deep conditioner once a week. also try using infusium 23 leave in conditioner. good luck!
suggest you use pantene or dove....I don't think you should choose a baby shampoo...it's only for babies.

    hope this helps

    alana:)
    conditioner.
I thik that you should try some smooth and silky, tresemme shampoo and conditioner. Or herbal essences works really good too. Another product is pantene pro-v....the one with the pearl complex pretein it works really nice. Also dove works good. I've used baby shampoo b4. It is okay but not as nice as the shampoos and conditioners listed above.

    Well I hope that I helped =]

Is it safe to use scented baby lotions/shampoo/baby wash?

i gave my baby her first sponge bath an used huggies sweet pea lotion, it seems kind of strong for a baby, it is for a baby!Is it safe to use scented baby lotions/shampoo/baby wash?
';Safe'; is a subjective term. Do you mean is it going to hurt their eyes? Or does it contain strong chemicals that might cause cancer??

With babies (all humans really) it's best to use the mildest soaps you can find. Organic is best. Try to avoid ones that have ';sodium laureth ulfate'; in them, and any that say ';perfume, or fragrance'; as that is so generic it could be anything.

There are lots of more natural and organic options out there, maybe try one of them.

  • Is baby shampoo has an expiration date?

Shampo bayi ada tgl kadalluarsa ga ya? ini udah 2thnan...gmna ya?Is baby shampoo has an expiration date?
And in English this means...Is baby shampoo has an expiration date?
Ok erm whatever that means? Look on the back there should be a little picture of a pot with the lid coming off or something like that inside there is a number with an M next to it meaning months, for example if it said 12M that means the shampoo expires after 12 months :) get it?
Your baby typing for you? I don't think it does, i have never seen one on the bottle, BUT i would imagine that after awhile it would not get as sudsy when you use it.

If you use a weak shampoo like Johnson Baby shampoo, can you wash you hair everyday?

    Thanks! ;o)

xxxIf you use a weak shampoo like Johnson Baby shampoo, can you wash you hair everyday?
There are many shampoos you can use everyday. The bad thing for hair is blow drying or hair dies or perms. I was my hair everyday for over 40 years and I have very healthy hair... I also do not blow dry it either and never been died or permed. If you use a weak shampoo like Johnson Baby shampoo, can you wash you hair everyday?
Sure, but you may not want to blow dry or heat style your hair everyday... it's best to let it dry naturally. Also, you will want to use a light conditioner everyday, and a deep one about once a week depending on how dry your hair may be.
Yes, because it's for baby hair. it also explains at the back of every bottle of Johnson baby shampoo that it is gentle to use everyday.

go for it! i use it everyday too, and my hair is really silky.
Yes you can, it's not as strong. And has less stuff to make your hair greasy and dry.

As I say, if it's good enough for a baby, why not. :]
You really need to do this every other day ok
    Yes.

Does anyone know a good hair shampoo or conditioner for baby hair?

She is 1 year old, and the curls on the back of her head are very dry from laying on it.Does anyone know a good hair shampoo or conditioner for baby hair?
Huggies makes a very good spray in conditioner that makes hair very easy to comb through w/o making it oily. it is called huggies cleanteam detangler.Does anyone know a good hair shampoo or conditioner for baby hair?
You should use Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby shampoo. That is the softest and most harmless stuff out there and my hair stylist even recommends it to adults who have dammaged hair.
Anything with the name Baby in it will work. Other then that, this may sound awkward, but use lotion in conjunction with baby shampoo. Believe me it works.
Use Johnson and Johnson products for babies. It works great.
the only kind that i can suggest to use is Johnson's and Johnson's or baby magic is the only ones that i used with my kids
Aveeno - lavendar and vanilla - it smells sooo good.
I use California Baby for my daughter. It's fragrance and whatnot free. Might sound boring, but best for their sensitive skin I think. They also come in natural scents, such as calming, happy or so. You can find the products in health stores. Shampoo %26amp; shower gel costs about $9. I love the quality!
The shampoo you use doesn't really matter...you'll want to use a detangler to bring the curls back!

If you choose, you can also use a little bit of spray gel! To hold the curl!

Is baby shampoo better for your hair than all other shampoos ?

No, no, no. Baby shampoo is actually WORSE for your hair then other shampoos! The reason as to why is baby shampoo leaves a film that leads to build-up and dandruff. The mineral oil also clogs up your hair follicles! So I would not recommend it.Is baby shampoo better for your hair than all other shampoos ?
Not really. The difference is that baby shampoo is gentle, hyper-allergenic and sensitive to use on all skin types. It doesn't necessary clean or condition better. I would recommend trying it and if it is something that you like then stick with it but really I think that you would like others better. Is baby shampoo better for your hair than all other shampoos ?
If you have normal hair it is fine to use on a daily basis but if you've got oily hair, it's not usually strong enough to cleanse well.
baby shampoo makes my hair smell really strong, enough to give me headaches. But It Get Really Smooth And Soft
no baby shampoo has a really high ph to make it tear free.

so it will actualy dry ut your hair
if you have any coloring or other such treatments in your hair, its horrible

Does baby shampoo make your skin smooth?

when you wash your face in baby shampoo or like washing your face with something esle that you think will make it smooth but some other shampoo make your face smooth tooDoes baby shampoo make your skin smooth?
They have things at drugstores specifically formulated for faces that make skin smooth. Many of those face washes are formulated to make your skin smooth.Does baby shampoo make your skin smooth?
yes, BUT DONT DO THAT it will make your face oily.

    Can adults use baby shampoo?

I had a bad reaction to hair dye and have been advised to use shampoo without sodium laureth sulphate (SLS). But the only ones I can find that I can afford are baby shampoos from Boots. There are some organic ones online but they are too expensive. I don't want to use baby shampoo if its going to do nothing for me, but everything else I am now illergic too.Can adults use baby shampoo?
yea baby shampoo is fine for adults.

i have kind of damaged curl hair which was wavy but i use baby shampoo and my hair has gone curly again :D
its perfectly fine, why wouldnt it be, its just for extra sensitive skin - like babies, or apparently yours right now.
    yeah!

people who chemically damage their hair use baby shampoo until it gets better!

it's really gentle on hair and your scalp.
ya im pretty sure...ive heard of people with sensitive skin using baby shampoo
Isn't that bubblophilia? In some states it is a crime.
Yes you can. You are better off using the baby shampoos without SLS than using shampoos with SLS as SLS can be quite harmful. Also, it's makes your hair really soft.
You can use baby shampoo. All that it being baby shampoo means is that it is sensitive enough for baby's skin. It's just more gentle, is all.
Yes. It's great for adult hair aswell actually because it doesn't have as harsh chemicals in that removes the natural oils like some shampoos do.
Sure. It's also less harsh on your hair and scalp. I'm a teenager, and I still use my little sister's shampoo. It's also good if you have really sensitive skin.
    Yes adults can use it.
Ya you can. And it makes your hair really soft!
Yes you can. Shampoo is shampoo after all.

Can I give my guinea pig a bath with baby shampoo? She does need a bath.?

    that is fine!

just dont use your shampoo or dog shampoobecause that would be to harsh on her hair

i would say a guinea pig needs a bath when....

it has fruit and veggie leftover juice dripping down hr chin

when it has poop in her paws an nails

    when its hair looks greasy

and about everry 2-3 monthsCan I give my guinea pig a bath with baby shampoo? She does need a bath.?
What makes you say she needs a bath? Is she long haired or short haired? I'd try combing the dirt out of her fur with a small brush or comb, and if that didn't work gently moistening it with damp cotton wool and teasing it out that way. There's probably no real need to actually submerge her in water and shampoo her.Can I give my guinea pig a bath with baby shampoo? She does need a bath.?
I see this question in here a lot. Please don't give your little rodent friends baths. It isn't necessary. You will scare them and stress them and they could go into shock and die. If they stink it would be because the bedding isn't being changed enough. If they smell then just wipe them with a baby wipe but please don't bathe them.
No don't use baby shampoo as if she swallows any of the Shampoo it could give her a bad stomach ache. I suggest getting from here ..

    http://www.gorgeousguineas.com/index.htm鈥?/a>

It's also great incase the piggie gets mites.
no...rodents have natural oils and u shouldn't use different shampoos use something that is actually meant for guinea pig..sorry i'm not 100% sure i only havwe a hamster and they r rodents as well and ur never supposed to give them baths...
Baby shampoo is okay (better than dog or cat shampoo or adult human shampoo) but a shampoo for small animals (you can buy it at pet stores) is better. Do not get it on the eyes, nose or mouth.

When can i start washing my baby with regular soap and adult shampoo?

seriously i started pantene 2/1 since about 18 months and 2 years for both my girls. My girls have gorgeous long thick perfect hair and i seriously contribute some of that to it. We only used baby soap for the first like year maybe..then on to the toddler stuff..then we just went to adult. Like bar soaps, body wash and pantene 2 in 1.When can i start washing my baby with regular soap and adult shampoo?
My son is 8 years old now and I finally decided he was old enough to use the big boy soap (his dads soap lol) but he still uses the tear free Suave shampoo. Kids still get soap in their eyes and it burns them, when this happens it causes them to not want to wash their hair anymore you don't want this to happen! I went weeks without washing my hair when I was a kid because I burned my eyes with the soap over and over and said ';screw it!'; lol Till thankfully grandma found out why I wasn't washing my hair and gave me tear free shampoo, bless her heart lol.

Even adults burn their eyes with soap and we all know it's no fun. Imagine how it feels for a small child or baby. You don't want them to be terrified of baths.

They have different stages of soaps and shampoos as your child grows. Depending on the age of your child check out the stage he or she should be using. A baby should continue using baby soap until kindergarten, and then switch to the ';big kid'; soaps that are still tear free and safe for sensitive skin. When can i start washing my baby with regular soap and adult shampoo?
Well instead of baby soap there is kids soap and shampoo like Loreal kids.

If you child is under 2 I'd probably stick to using baby soap and then after 2 switch to the kids soap.

Then around 8 I would allow them to use adult soap as long as it did not irritate their skin.

I was showering on my own at about 5 years old and recall using pert plus kids shampoo and then a kids body wash.

Adult shampoo happened at about 8.
Gosh I don't even do that to my 6 yr old (unless I happen to run out of the childrens stuff). if shampoo or soap gets in their eyes it will burn. So atleast wait until they are old enough to know to close their eyes. Also wait for atleast a yr because our stuff isn't hypoallergenic like babies.
Can I suggest you check into www.ewg.org and look up consumer products . By reviewing the consumer products link under health you will see some scary facts re ingredients in all personal care products but they also give info on the best products.....good luck- hope you find it helpful
yeah i still use baby wash and kids tear free shampoo on my toddlers, the shampoo wont sting their eyes and the soap doesnt dry out their skin
When he is old enough to take his own shower.

Which Shampoo is good for regular Use - For Dry Hairs, Ayurvedic or Baby Shampoo?

Many says, regular usage of shampoo will thin your hairs and lead to baldness. Which shampoo is good to avoid baldness, and which is less harmful in long run even used regularly (twice in week). Ayurvedic shampoo is better or Shampoo for dry hairs is more mild or use Baby shampoo as it is soap free and mild.Which Shampoo is good for regular Use - For Dry Hairs, Ayurvedic or Baby Shampoo?
Baby shampoo is not good for dry hair. Baby shampoo contains a drying agent, formulated to help prevent cradle cap in babies. That might be fine for someone with very oily hair, but not good at all for dry hair. Besides, baby shampoo has a surprisingly high alkaline level. If you're concerned with thinning hair, a good quality shampoo that contains jojoba is the best choice. It moisturizes, but jojoba is known for removing sebum build-up from the scalp, and sebum build-up is one of the contributing factors for thinning hair.Which Shampoo is good for regular Use - For Dry Hairs, Ayurvedic or Baby Shampoo?
Holy Cow! Don't you know how to spell and use correct grammar?! Report Abuse

Johnson's ';new'; baby wash is better than the shampoo. it has baby oil in it!

manoj being a guy u have a benefit.....i guess u got short hair....so y do u want to use a shampoo every now n then??? Just wash it every third day, n use a conditioner just once or twice a week...as they tend to make ur hair weak. Anyways...just use a good shampoo like pantene, but make sure u dilute it in water n then use. Don't get trapped in Ayurvedic n baby products, all r chemicals anyway. So if u really want to pamper ur hair in a desi way....apply an egg white once a week. Alternatively apply curds once a week....all work great. Rest is upto u

My hair is falling! What to use?Pantene or baby shampoo?

I have hairloss,And I don`t know what to do.I also have very oily hair. I have used many shampoos but nothing worked.I`m thinking to start to use Pantene or baby shampoo,I`m in dilema. What can protect from hairfalling and from oil in my hair?Which one of these can helmp me on this?My hair is falling! What to use?Pantene or baby shampoo?
I'm not sure, I would think the baby shampoo would do the least amount of damage. Your best bet is to ask your doctor. They would know a brand that would either help your hairloss or slow it down. Good luck!My hair is falling! What to use?Pantene or baby shampoo?
Well I guess it would depend on how much hair you are losing. Every person loses hair everyday - They say about 100 strands of hair a day. If you are balding then I guess that is definitely a problem - get some rogaine or something. But if you are just combing your hair and hair comes off, or when you wash it it comes off - that is fine. You lose hair daily
pantene always works for me i have the same problem
Stress can cause your hair to fall out, you seem like you are under stress. I use Pantene. Neither one of these products will stop your hair from falling out you might have to see a doctor.
I think race may play a major factor in my answer. I'm a black woman who suffers from thinning hair so I dunno if a woman of different race with a different hair texture can identify. I've been using Pantene Anti-Dandruff for women of color shampoo, and conditioner for about 2 months. Actually, I replaced all of my hair care products with the Pantene brand name because it has made a significant look in the appearance of my hair. Again, I dunno if hair texture plays a part in this or not.

Gee, I sound like a commerical. LOL But I can testify and say that it made a difference in my hair so..
Don't use Pantene, it made me start losing hair. A safe shampoo is either baby shampoo or neutrogena. And get to the health food store and get some suppliments for hair. And I would pay a visit to the doctor to make sure something else isn't wrong, sometimes a problem with the thyroid can cause hairloss, as can a myriad of other illnesses. Stress is a big issue that causes hair loss, too.
No shampoo can really help your hair from falling out. One thing you are doing wrong as far as your oily hair is concerned is using baby shampoo or Pantene. Pantene has wax in it so it causes build up quicckly. Baby shampoo is extremely acidic ( thats why it doesnt ';burn'; babies eyes, ironic huh) and it will cause your hair to over produce oils to make up fior your hair being dried out. Try suave clarifying shampoo, it has one of most neutral PH balance and a light conditioner.
drproctor.com - look at every page. He is the top hair loss guy in the country.

Nano shampoo (follow the directions!), Nano conditioner, and Drproctor's solutions and 5% Minoxidil (buy it at Costco) alternate your shampoos after you get used to Nano -- Nano, Nizoral, T-Gel.

Also, take L-Arginine 3 gms 2X a day on empty stomach.
baby shampoo is what i would use but see a doctor :)

u probably have seen a doctor, sorry if u have.
if your hair is falling out you got a serious problem on your hands (or head). Go see a doctor immediately. Maybe you can buy a anti hair loss product in the store, but I would see a doctor. Good luck.
What you need is hair vitamins! Folic Acid, Biotin, etc. Go to a health-food store and ask for vitamin-complex to strengthen hair and nails. And eat whole-grain, un-processed food. From the inside out will come perfect hair!
You better see a doctor. There are many reasons for hair loss, physical and emotional. Good luck!
How old are you! If you are middle aged well you know that it is ordinary if not use pantene!! But there is nothing to worry about!. It will stop eventually
    Hi-

You should really have a doctor do some blood testing. Perhaps your hormone levels are off, have you used BCP or anything?

There could be many reasons- Please see a doc, for a workup!

    DONT USE BABY SHAMPOO-

Shampoo will not make your hair fall out, thats a myth.

Theres some good information on the site listed below.
Why is your hair falling out? I would make sure you are getting all your vitamins. If you just had a baby - then it is normal and will mostly grow back. You could try Fructus - greasy roots - dry ends.

Do you have to use special shampoo on a dogor can you use anyshampoo or can i just use baby shampoo helpp?

There is canine shampoo, that is specially formulated for dogs. It gives their coat the cleansing and nourishment it needs, and is formulated to prevent irritation.

In a pinch though, regular shampoo or baby shampoo will work. Just be extra careful to avoid the dogs eyes.Do you have to use special shampoo on a dogor can you use anyshampoo or can i just use baby shampoo helpp?
You need to use a special flea and tick shampoo that you can get at most pet supply stores.
Go to www.ph-ion.com and learn about Ph levels for you and your animals. Dogs, cats and people have COMPLETELY different Ph levels. I would not suggest using any human shampoo or conditioner on your dog at all. I do, however encourge giving them a natural vitamin e - gel one a day in their food you can buy this at any health food store or pharmacy check the IU ammount. Large dogs you can give 400 IU a day small 100 a day. Inside 30 days hair will grow back and it will take on a brilliant shine. I personally use Udo oil (refrigerator section of serious health food stores only) and give some of that to my dog in her food daily. (Although check your dog may be allergic to it's ingrediants) Also make sure there is NO CORN IN ANYTHING you are giving your dog if you dog has any kind of skin allergies. Also recommend a new product for allergies, or any skin, hair or fur problems called Pet Solution Rx www.rpabiotech.com it's a spray for anti-bacterial, anti- microbial and anti-fungus. Benedryl (for humans) is okay to give to dogs but make sure only 1 mg per pound! Helps scratching and allergies and by the way is much better to give your dog if you are flying than anything the vet will give you with the exception of valium in a very small amount. Note dogs metabolize things differently than we do therefore Benedryl will work inside 20 minutes and valium may take up to an hour before it begins to work sometimes longer! Not all human meds are okay for pets - check it out with your vet first. Amount of med and their body weight is extremely important! If anyone is experiencing chronic ear problems with their dogs I highly recommend Zymox products they will stop whatever is going on. It has antibacterial enzymes. For infections they have pure drops. I strongly recommend their maintence system. Very inexpensive products too! After spending thousands on vets with my dog's ear problems I was turned onto Zymox by www.petkingbrands.com. where you can buy them directly for less than going to your vet.

Something a little more cutting edge for you and your dog is called CellPower. www.cellpowerusa.info. One more tip if your dog is white and you are wondering why they have a red or brownish residue underneath their eyes give them bottled spring water to drink ONLY and if you let them stick their heads out of the car window then make sure you rinse their eyes out with and you can buy it at any Rite-Aid or Savon Collyrium for Fresh eyes. Rinse their eyes out. You will never again see discolorization under a white dogs eyes if you follow this. Also for those of you who don't know no MORE GREENIES that includes anything that remotely looks like Greenies with a new name or especially has the same ingrediants. Go to the CNN website and look up Paula Zahn's piece on Greenies and deaths in large and small dogs. Hope this helped someone. Also for dogs with hip problems look into Adequine. One shot a week for four weeks and your dog will be jumping around like a puppy again forever. Forgot those pills they give your dogs for hip problems! Find a vet who uses Adequine. Very inexpesive and will literally save your dog and you from losing a lot of money and both of you from going through unecessary pain! Adequine was tested on German Shepherds years ago and has since been used for all breeds experieing hip problems. I have personally seen dogs who could not get up at all after their third shot start running around like puppies again and they never needed any more meds or shots of adequine again after 10 years! All the meds are just for your $! Keep the weight down on your dog by giving your dog (check with your vet) lowest perhaps RD kibble possible and add frozen carrots and peas instead of canned meat the weight will roll off. No cookies or treats until they weight is off or cut them in half. Hope this helps someone! Also last suggestion if you're all about animals perhaps make www.Care2.com your home page. Please note that I do not work for any of these companies at all! Just trying to give you direction to them you can always use google as well.
use dog shampoo, their fur and skin are different form a baby's so they need special shampoo. there r alot of different kinds for dogs and they come in alot of really nice smells.
I use a dog shampoo with a few drops of eucalyptus oil added. It helps with the fleas and smells pleasant too
I use special dog shapoo. The reason it's used is becasue there is a definite difference between fur and hair. Some dogs have hair though, in which case I assume normal shapoo is ok. If your allergic to dogs but not the one you own, you probably have a dog with hair. It wouldn't take much time on the web to figure it out anyways, though.
Baby shampoo should be okay; it's gentle and doesn't have any added conditioners.
get the adams dog shampoo its the best shapoo for dogs out there human shampoo dries out their hare
you have to use a special dog shampoo...

Because the best shampoo's for dogs have a little bit higher Ph-levels.A higher PH-level is very good for hair (fur).

A baby-shampoo is Ph-neutral or has even less Ph.

If you would use the baby shampoo on your dog,his fur will loose its glance and the hair will get greased faster.
No baby shampoo. Depends on your dog. I have a Lahas Apso and i'm only suppost to use people shampoo on her, except baby shampoo. I use oatmeal stuff it is gentle on her skin. Just make sure you rinse it all out well!
Baby Shampoo is okay coz the ph is neutral.

Try to avoid medicated or deticking shampoo unless you dog has a skin problem.

Try to bath them once a week only, too much shampoing will also cause skin irritation for the dog.

Best of all, invest a little more, use a proper doggie shampoo and you wont have to deal with any skin problems for the dog later.
use a special dog shampoo. dog's skin is not the same as baby skin, not the same ph.
I use Dove shampoo on my dogs. My vet said it was OK and not harm full, just to avoid getting it in their eyes and mouth. But, if you have flea issues, you will want to use something specially formulated for that. No matter which you do choose, the main thing to remember is to thoroughly rinse your dogs fur, soap residue can be harm full to their skin and may cause irritation.

  • Is baby shampoo residue free?

I want to dreadlock my hair, and need a shampoo with no residues so that my hair locks better. Apparently baby shampoo is suitable, but I wasn't sure. Is it free of residues, and does it help when locking hair, or should I just buy a dreadlock shampoo? Is baby shampoo residue free?
Yes it is, but unless your black, I wouldnt't dred your hair.

A baby had an severe reaction to shampoo and suffered a severe chemical burn. Is it possible ?

The baby was hospitalized and placed in a burn unit, this injury only occurred on his face. The shampoo was herbal essence for color treated hair..A baby had an severe reaction to shampoo and suffered a severe chemical burn. Is it possible ?
Most people use baby shampoo for babys...thier skin is very thin and subseptible to yes burns from shampoos with perfumes or chemicles. This is a sad story...I hope the parents learned from this.A baby had an severe reaction to shampoo and suffered a severe chemical burn. Is it possible ?
It's absolutely possible. Baby's skin is so much more fragile to the elements. Using Herbal Essence shampoo for colored treated hair has ingredients I wouldn't put on my dog let alone my baby. It's very possible to have severe reactions to any kind of shampoo or soap. I used an all-natural shampoo when I was 30 and it not only gave me blisters on my scalp but caused itching that was out of control. The shampoo was very hair to get out of my hair and I was afraid I would have to shave it off. I lost some hair due to the incident. It turned out that my scalp was allergic to specific essential oils and emollients in the shampoo. If I had put any of those essential oils on my arm or hand, I would have been fine.

When it comes to babies, you have to be careful and realize that allergies and reactions can happen with any product and any food or environmental agent. Basically, it can happen at any age.
Wow, why would anyone use that on their baby? I wouldn't think it would be possible, maybe some minor irritation but not chemical burns and being placed in a burn unit. Sounds fishy.

How to rinse shampoo without pouring water in baby's eyes?

My ten month old just HATES to have me rinse the shampoo out of his hair. I try to ring out a wash cloth first over his head to try and rinse his hair, but eventually i need to pour some water. I use a cup and try to get his head tilted up but he just refuses to do so. It always ends up running down his face and he gets upset.

    Any tips/tricks to avoid this??

Thanks! How to rinse shampoo without pouring water in baby's eyes?
they actually have a cup thing with a rubber side you place against their forehead so no water gets on their face

    i know walmart sells them

in my experience however you shouldnt worry about it

if you keep protecting them from it theyll become scared of waterHow to rinse shampoo without pouring water in baby's eyes?
Kids need to learn not to be afraid of it. My son is 8 months and so I lay him down when I rinse out the shampoo so it doens't always go in his face however occasionally I will let the water go in his face over his eyes, he needs to learn that its okay to have the water on his face and not to panic. I do it at least 2 times everynight when rinsing and I think its good for him, he is not scared of it and expects.
cup your hand (palm towards his face) over his forehead and eyes and as you pour the water brush/push it back with your hand - keeps the water out of his eyes but you can still get all of the shampoo out (or if you have a removable shower head in the tub or baby tub you can spray it off) I do both with my kids (2yrs and 1yrs) - if you do the shower head though you will need to get him used to it before spraying his head I let my kids hold it before its on and then show them when its on by spraying their legs or back lightly
When I bathe my daughter I use one of my hands to stop the water from pouring in her eyes. I just put my left hand at the top of her forehead and pour the water on her head with my right hand. When the water tries to run down her face I use my left hand ( that's placed on her forehead) to push the water back. Try it..... works like a charm!
We use this for my son

    http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp鈥?/a>

You put the yellow part (it's rubber) up against his forehead and tilt his head back a little and the rubber keeps the water from going into his face. They also have little 'visor' things that keep the water from going into his face. You can get either at Babies R Us or Walmart.
I use a wet wash cloth. It takes longer but there is a lot less water in the eyes. Plus if you squeeze it a little first there is no water in the baby's eye. I have done it that way since my daughter was born.
Well they have a tear free shampoo made by johnson %26amp; johnson which if the shampoo gets into your baby eyes it won't burn

Its really works tried on myself before I tried on my son lol
They actually have baby shampoo now that when you wash it out it doesn't burn their eyes.

    :)

Is it ok to use Johnson n johnson baby shampoo daily on 8 months old baby's head?

of course, that's what it's for.Is it ok to use Johnson n johnson baby shampoo daily on 8 months old baby's head?
Your 8 month old shouldn't need his head shampooed every day. Actually, none of us do!

What most people don't realize is that the ';no more tears'; shampoos we use on baby's is a very harsh and drying shampoo. The reason why, is that it is formulated to be the same ph level as your tears. So it doesn't sting the baby. That ph level happens to be pretty high. Very close to that of rubbing alcohol.

Thats why if an adult uses any type of these baby shampoo's on their colored hair it strips the color right outIs it ok to use Johnson n johnson baby shampoo daily on 8 months old baby's head?
i will never use them they are not fit for any baby under age of 1. the chemical are very harsh for little babies. Its best to use organic product on them.Plus babies don't get that dirty as a toddler dose.So stop using them.right now.
I wouldn't use J%26amp;J products at all on my kids....have you read the ingredients list.

So many babies have reactions from the stuff...there are stacks of gentle, natural baby products on the market that are much nicer.
you shouldn't bathe a baby every day. Maybe every second or even third. It can really dry out their skin, as well washing their hair everyday can sometimes cause cradle cap.
I use al J%26amp;J products on my baby it is really great, and I bath her everyday.
Sure, but if you notice it drying out the scalp you may want to cut back a little.
I use it every night on my 6 months old (almost 6 month ), she loves bath time.
    That's what it's meant for......yes it's ok.
    Yes, it is safe.
should be fine, it's meant for babies afterall
Ya....no probs at all..Unless the baby feels itchy n scratches his head....
    of course
That is what its there for. Of course.

Can we use Johnson & Johnson's Baby Shampoo on puppies?

or adult dogs? Can we use Johnson %26amp; Johnson's Baby Shampoo on puppies?
Yes, you can, Dilute the baby shampoo with an equal part of warm water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Keep bath water and shampoo out of the dog's eyes, nose, ears and mouth.

Any shampoo that is pH balanced can be used on a dog. ';pH balanced'; simply means that a shampoo is neutral; it is neither acid nor base. There is no such thing as special pH balancing for people or dogs even though the advertisers would like you to think so. Neutral is neutral. pH balanced means it's neutral and that is that. Can we use Johnson %26amp; Johnson's Baby Shampoo on puppies?
Yep! The Johnson and Johnson is really gentle and won't dry out their skin. I don't know if I would use that on an adult dog though because they tend to be dirtier and I don't know how well that would clean. You can buy puppy shampoo and I would reccomend dog shampoo for adults, the oatmeal ones are usually pretty good and gentle.
Why? It's NOT for puppies. It's actually not even a gentle shampoo for dogs.. It just has a pH level that is the same as human tears so it doesn't burn a human baby's eyes. Dogs are NOT the same pH. and it could be very irritating to them. If you're gonna use an OTC dog shampoo, use one that is for dogs and that has oatmeal and aloes in it. But really, what you should do is get your vet to give you a prime shampoo that helps skin, fur, sheen. and kills fleas %26amp; ticks. If you're gonna bathe a dog, use good dog shampoo.

PS Don't bathe more than once a month because any shampoo will dry out a dog's skin %26amp; coat with frequent bathing.
Lizzie is right, there really isn't too much of a difference in the PH. No matter what shampoo you use, you just have to be careful and not get it in their faces or ears. I put cotton balls in their ears when giving my dogs a bath. (The giant ones-so I can get them out when the bath is over) When my dog had yeast, my vet told me to use Selsun Blue Medicated Shampoo to get rid of the yeast. It did! Now I use a dog shampoo with oatmeal.
I would. I use Head and Shoulders on my dogs too because it kills fleas on contact. Afterwards I use regular shampoo on them and it makes them smell so nice. They love it, and their coats are soft and fluffy. I have long hair chihuahuas. I have never had a problem with dry coats. No problems at all.
Why use a human shampoo when the ph level is different in dogs than in humans. Why not buy a suitable puppy shampoo.
No because it's for people not dogs. Their hair and skin are different then ours so use shampoo for dogs.
I think so, but I'm not sure. Call a pet store and ask[:
    Yes!

Is it ok to wash my kitty with baby shampoo?

Bathing a cat can actually make it sick. So avoiding baths unless absolutely necessary is key. Cats bathe themselves. But if you do need to bathe it, make sure the water is very warm because cats have a higher natural body temp than humans so what is warm to us, can seem cold to them. Baby shampoo has detergent and perfumes in it so I would avoid it. Get shampoo made especially for cats.Is it ok to wash my kitty with baby shampoo?
No, you should never wash a kitten unless it's the only option. Their bodies can't regulate their temperature like humans can. If it is absolutely necessary, there are certain guidelines you should follow for washing. Just be careful! Is it ok to wash my kitty with baby shampoo?
You shouldn't have to wash your cat, but if you do you should use shampoo specifically made for that purpose.
Cats do not need to be given baths unless they have rolled in something nasty.

Yes, you can use baby shampoo but put cotton balls in his ears and do not wash the face area, just the body.

And rinse very well, and dry good.
cats usually don;t get bathes or really need bathes as they clean their selfs almost 24/7..if you need to go to the vet and buy shampoo from the cashier there ;and she;ll get the one for a cat etc..... lol
Probably wouldn't be too harmful but it would be much better to use a non-detergent shampoo made especially for cats.
how old is your kitty? as long as she is not really small, it will be fine. i asume you are trying to get rid of fleas?
I think so, but check with a vet first.
it is not okay to wash the kitten with the baby shampoo.that wil dry out the cats fur and its skin even though it helps for babys it messes up the kittins skin and fur...trust me my friend did that and her cats fur is like always greasey and nasty...go to petsmart or pet pluse and buy some kittin/cat shampoo...your kittin will thank you....after the bath
No. Use pet shampoo. It's not expensive but the difference is it's safe for an animal that licks.
Why not get a pet shampoo for her, there are so many available?
Yes...but don't wash your baby with kitty shampoo
use dawn dish soap. it kills flees and won'thurt the cat .for ferate owners dawn dish soap is the best thing to wash your ferate with it completely removes all stink REALY better then any farate bath .
I would suggest using a shampoo that is specially formulated for cats and kittens as the pH of the shampoo will be better suited. Most human shampoo, even babies, is more harsh to a cat's delicate skin, and can irritate it. Cat shampoo is milder and should not have any fragrance as that can also be a culprit of allergic reactions. Most shampoos and hand soaps for humans would strip too many of the oils from a cat's coat, leaving the coat dry, brittle, and lifeless-looking. It can also cause the cat to become very itchy. Bathe the cat as needed, maybe twice a year in a shorthair and 3-4 times a year with a longhair. My boy was bathed at least a couple of times a month because he was a therapy cat, and the bathing greatly reduced the risk of him causing allergic reactions when we visiting nursing homes and hospitals. This was actually one of the requirements of him becoming a therapy cat. I rarely had problems with his skin or hair because I was careful with his shampoo.
Why do you want to wash your cat?

If it's to get rid of fleas, washing with baby shampoo is pointless. Yes, the fleas may be washed off - but they'll just jump right back on again when the cat is dry - if your cat has fleas, they'll be in your house too, just waiting to hop back on.

Is your cat dirty? Cats can clean themselves fine, unless for some reason they've rolled in something sticky and gross!

If you must bath your cat, baby shampoo might be OK - probably better to use a pet shampoo.

If the cat has fleas - get the right treatment from your vet.

    Chalice
U should check the label of the shampoo...see if its tested on animals....or contains any ingredients that would make your cat have a reaction. Visit a veterinarian ask them whats best to use. Most of all.....don't use human products on animals!!!Go to the store and pick up special animal shampoo....check with the veterinarian first....see what they suggest.

  • CAN SOMEONE give some mild shampoo apart from honsons baby shampoo?

.....thanksCAN SOMEONE give some mild shampoo apart from honsons baby shampoo?
I find Timotei quite mild, especially the one for blonde or highlighted hair!CAN SOMEONE give some mild shampoo apart from honsons baby shampoo?
emulave- you can buy it in boots or any other chemist
Timotei is mild but I don't know if they still make it! I used to use it years ago
Try Boots botanics shampoo...they have lots of different varieties and they are made from all natural ingrediants. Plus, they dont cost the earth. The one that is ultra moisturising is really nice, its mild but leaves your hair really soft and smells great. They do different ones for different hair colours so check them out.
    simple shampoo and conditioner
If you are looking for something mild that is not a baby shampoo, more than likely you're not gonna find it on the shelf in a drugstore or at wal-mart. Most brands like Pantene or Herbal Essence or Suave have sulfates in them. Sulfates are found in cheap shampoos. They are abrasive salts used to cleanse the hair but they do serious damage to the scalp and hair in the process. The best hair care I have found is made by a company called Elon. They make alot of Dermatology recommended products. I use their whole line of hair care to keep my hair soft and silky. Their pre-wash basically fixes damage caused by over treatment and coloring in 1-2 uses and their masque deep conditions. The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free so they keep your hair soft. I use the shampoo and conditioner everyday and they other 2 once a week or so.

    Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!
Aveno has a good baby shampoo

Is baby shampoo ok to use?

I love the way baby shampoo smells! I always use it, but I was just wondering, is baby shampoo ok to use? does it do the same thing as normal shampoo does? I was asking my sister and she told me to watch out for dandruff because baby shampoo is not as strong as normal shampoo and I might start getting dandruff...I haven't yet, but what do you guys think? Is baby shampoo ok to use?
It does do the same thing that regular shampoo does, but baby shampoo is just really gentle on your skin so it doesn't irritate. I'm pretty sure its not as EFFECTIVE as specialized shampoos that remove dandruff and prevent buildup, but you can still use it! I love the smell too :)Is baby shampoo ok to use?
Baby shampoo is much much milder than normal shampoo, as it has to be.

It'll be ok to use and shouldn't give you dandruff, I don't know where she got that idea from!

But it may leave your hair less clean that normal shampoo so you'll have to wash your hair thoroughly.

Don't worry about it too much, it's perfectly safe.

    :)
I just went to Google and put ';is baby shampoo good for your hair'; and everything I found was really positive from all kinds of beauty sites. The only thing is your sister is right, apparently it does dry out hte scalp so maybe alternate it something else or maybe get some sort of hair product that would prevent dandruff if you ever start to notice it
reg shampoo would give u dandruf more because it had more chemicals that dries out your skin. common sense will tell u baby shampoo is the most gentle you can get on your hair wich in return may not get it as clean if you have a lot of hair. but if it isnt grease and it smells clean. then it must work.
It's perfectly healthy to use. I would say the only difference is that it doesn't irritate your skin or sting your eyes and it's not as effective as regular shampoo. It's still totally fine to use though. IF you start to get greasy hair and all that then I would recommend switching shampoos. Hope I helped. (:
Yeah, its really good for your hair, its mild and doesn't have anything harsh in it. Thats another reason you wont get dandruff, its texture is lighter so it wont have much residue. Its good for frequent use too.

I love it, i use it most of the time.
I don't think you will get dandruff. I used to do the same, but then my mom told me that it isn't as strong as adult shampoo so I stopped using it. I used for the same reason you use it for.
Yes, but try to use the brands that have been certified and definitely avoid the eyes... Its best to get them to learn how to lean their head back when rinsing at and early age.
the only difference is it doesn't sting your eyes

No I'd imagine it's fine - if anything it would be gentler on your scalp so less likely to dry out and cause flakes.

Just rinse properly and it'll be fine.
Sure. There shouldn't be any major problems, but if you notice dandruff or greasiness, change shampoos.
As long as it works I wouldnt worry about it. It is gentler so I wouldnt think it would dry your scalp out, but if your concerned just follow with a leave in conditioner
of course it is i use baby shampoo and baby wash allthe time you wont get dandruff un less ur allergic to something so its fine
its totally okay..its not as strong but as long as you keep washing your hair regularly, dandruff shouldn't be a problem.
dnt worry bout dandriff i usedo use it but if ur scared get baby shampoo tht has dandruff control in it
i guess so, if you really wanna,

P.S. i have to admit it smells wonderful i like it
ive used baby shampoo it leaves my hair cleaner and softer and i dont see dandruff so go for it!
It should be fine as long as you use semi small amounts.
It's fine, even better because it's gentle.
If it don't bother your head way not!
use it unless someone don't sees u
    Go for it, its finee!
    its perfectly healthy to use
    ya y not

When did you stop using baby wash/shampoo?

My son is 2-1/2 and I still use baby wash for him. I was just wondering when other parents made the switch to regular soap. When did you stop using baby wash/shampoo?
My son is 2.5 yrs old too and I still use Johnson and Johnson Lavender Shampoo on him. He smells SO GOOD!

I actually don't like when my husband washes him with his soap. He smells like a man, and well, he's 2.5 yrs old. He doesn't need to smell like a man.

I'm not ready to make the switch yet. Plus, it's tear-free, and we all know how bad it hurts to get that stuff in your eyes. Dylan hasn't quite grasped ';tilt your head back'; to avoid shampoo in his eyes. So until then, we use the smell good, tear-free kind! :)When did you stop using baby wash/shampoo?
Around 3 years old my daughter's hair wasn't coming out right with baby shampoo. So i started very carefully using adult shampoo and conditioner on her. I personally used baby shampoo until about 14, when I started to care how my hair smelled.

We got some samples of Dove Nutrium(spelling?) soap at the doctor's office. So my whole family, including Cheyenne, has been using it since she was about a month old. She didn't use regular adult soap until she was 5 and had an odor that the dove couldn't cut. After a few washes with antibacterial soap, she was able to go back to dove.

She is 6 now and uses the suave brand kid shampoo. It seems to do an excellent job without being as painful as adult shampoo when it gets in her eyes.

I would advise other parents to use baby shampoo until at least 4 years old, unless their kid needs something stronger before then. And I would advise them to use a gentle soap such as Dove or Ivory when they make that switch.
I still use it on my 4yo and 2.5yo. Really,I find no reason to switch to soap, as their skin is still very delicate. I use California Baby Super Sensitive wash. I bought a gallon of it, and am finding it lasts a looong time. My younger son has eczema and the Johnson products contain SLS, which aggravates his condition. California Bay is the only thing I have found that has no harsh chemicals, no artificial preservatives and no numbing agents, so I'll stick with it as long as I can.
With my oldest, who is now 4, I stopped using baby shampoo when her hair started growing like crazy all of a sudden (she was pretty much bald her first year). I had to go to a kid's shampoo with conditioner in it, the baby shampoo does not condition at all. But as for baby wash, I admit I still use Johnson's baby wash on her. It makes her skin so soft, no need for lotion and it smells good.
My daughter is 4 1/2, and since I have a HUGE bottle of it, that's what we still use. I had to switch to regular kids shampoo awhile ago when her hair got longer, it would get tangled using the baby shampoo/wash on it. But we still use it to wash her body. I use body wash myself, so I'm thinking either I'll use mine for her after the baby stuff is finally gone, or I know there are kids body washes available from the same companies that make the kids shampoo (Suave, Loreal, etc.).

BTW - it's nice to see someone else wondering about this! And after seeing how many of you still use it for your 4 yr. olds or older, I'm thinking maybe I won't quite make the switch yet! I haven't wanted to, the baby stuff is so gentle and smells so nice!
Never used baby shampoo or body wash since she was born. My pediatrician recommended using Dove Body Wash for Sensitive Skin for both body and hair. My daughter has yet to cry if the soap gets in or near her eyes. The product smells great and seems to do the job quite well. Now that my daughter is much more mature (at 18 months) I also use Dove Shampoo specifically for her hair and keep the Body Wash for her body :)
I've been using Dove soap on Tyler since he's been about 18 months (eczema) but recently I've been using Huggies Washclothes; either sensitive skin or shea butter. I still use baby shampoo for his hair (either Johnson %26amp; Johnson's or Huggies).
my kids are 3 and 4 they do not use baby soap. i really never used them they were both allergic to it. i used neutrogena soap on them. now they just use what we use. but you can use it as long as you like. i know kids that are 7 that still use it!
When my daughter was about 3, because I felt like I needed a better shampoo for her hair. I started buying the Suave 2-in-1 shampoo for kids. Its shampoo and body wash and she likes picking the different scents when we go shopping.
    You should look into these.

    http://www.johnsonsbaby.com/prodPlatform…
I still use baby shampoo and wash for my 3 yr old, they are tear free and gentle on his skin.

Soaps have too much perfume and can ge in his eyes so i don't want to risk it
I still use it. I'm actually still using stuff that I received from baby showers, LOL!!!
My children are 11,8,5, and 2 and they all still use it. It is better than regular shampoo and it still has the no more tears effect!

What is the best shampoo to bath the baby?

And detergent for clothes? What is the best shampoo to bath the baby?
I use Weleda Baby Wash %26amp; Shampoo. It's all natural. I started using Aveeno but reports of some pretty nasty stuff showing up in the Johnson %26amp; Johnson washes (Aveeno is put out by then) had me switch. I like this one much better! They sell it at Babies R Us or on Amazon.

For his clothing we use Dreft.

EDIT: The baby washes tested that they found formaldehyde and/or 1,4-dioxane in are:

My husband is a health %26amp; safety manager at a major university hospital and told me to take this very seriously. He said these chemicals enter the body very easily through the skin and there are no safe levels of them. What is the best shampoo to bath the baby?
    Hello,

Find a natural or organic shampoo that is sulfate free. Sodium lauryl sulftate is extremely drying and can cause increased permeablitly to the skin and irritation. It is also hard on the eyes. Watch for this in bubble baths too. (Gulp!)

Shampoos and detergents should also be free of any synthethic colors and fragrances. These are just chemicals and are not needed.

Somtimes clothes don't smell or seem as fresh without the added perfumes we're used to. So, you can rinse clothes (rinse cycle) with a bit of white vinegar. It will freshen clothes naturally.

    Best of luck with baby!
I use only a natural, mild soap for both my baby's skin and hair, she is exposed to enough chemicals in this world without having me put more on her. Any shampoo that contains sodium laureth sulfate is a danger to your child - commercially sodium laureth sulfate is actually as degreaser in a lot of industry type environments. If you want something specifically designed for babies, don't go with anything made by these big companies such as Johnson %26amp; Johnson, their products are the worst for containing especially petrol based chemicals. Do your little one a favor and go chemical free where ever you can, there are a few fairly natural bands available such as Weleda and Jurlique. Your local health food shop will probably stock a good range.

As for a washing detergent, look for something that says Non-biological, its the best for babies as it doesn't irritate their skin.

Best wishes and i hope i have helped! :)
Johnson %26amp; Johnson's Lavender baby shampoo is great. It has a calming scent and is pH balanced so that it is tear free in case any of it ends up in baby's eyes!
the best shampoo is dove but detergent is downy or woolite
johnsons its the best and their is a special detergent but i forgot he name but Johnson's def for sham.....congrats and goood luck!

Can you use baby shampoo on a dog?

can you? cuz we just got a boxer... named diesel x]] and we dont have the dog shampoo yet... help! Can you use baby shampoo on a dog?
Some tests were run here in Australia on baby shampoos and other adult shampoos for safety. The results were that baby shampoo was unsafe for babies. The very least of the problems was it will blind the baby. To answer your question, Never use any form of human shampoo on a puppy or an adult dog. Always use a vet approved shampoo. Don't shampoo more than once a month or even two months. Only shampoo if the dog is smelly and/or dirtyCan you use baby shampoo on a dog?
If you look at the ingredients of basic dog shampoo, and basic human shampoo, there is no difference. Skin problems come about when you don't rinse well enough, or don't dry well enough. I have used human shampoo, body wash, and even Dawn dishwashing liquid on all of my pets: 3 ferrets, 2 dogs, and a cat, and have never had a problem.
You can occasionally, but as with any shampoo, you must rinse well. I wouldn't recommend it on a regular basis. I do use baby shampoo occasionally when my dogs get diarrhea and there back end is messy.
You can in a pinch but it is not something I would recommend using over and over again. Please make sure you rinse the pup off very well to get all the shampoo of his skin
It's pretty light so yes you can but once you get a dog shampoo, don't use anymore human shampoo after that.
I have a friend who is a dog groomer and she always used dawn dishsoap then dog shamopoo.
Just this once and dilute it.

    Congratulations on your new dog.
    My vet says NO!

It麓s better with delicate clothes soap if you don麓t have dog shampoo.

Is it safe to wash my guinea pig with baby shampoo ?

i think so, but they do make a special shampoo for small pets it's called critter-shampoo. And i use it on my 2 guinea pigs. stop if there is hair loss or anything weird happening. Also, dry them off all the way or they will catch a cold. Hope this helps!

GOOD LUCKIs it safe to wash my guinea pig with baby shampoo ?
