For a toy dog who will get bathed every week to 2 weeks, is it better to use hypoallergenic baby shampoo or the doggie shampoo?Baby shampoo vs Doggie shampoo, which is best?
Hypo pet shampoo is best. Baby human shampoo is NOT tearless for pets as it is formulated for ppl not pets. We have different ph levels %26amp; different additives %26amp; chemicals used in human products are not good to use on animal skin.Baby shampoo vs Doggie shampoo, which is best?
I would only recommend baby shampoo for around the face of your dog. Dogs are dogs and need shampoo made for dogs. Allergies or not your are drying the skin and coat on your dog making the itching and allergies worse. I use Earthbath hypoallergenic dog shampoo, They also make other kinds for itching tea tree %26amp; aloe earthbath. I also like plush puppy but it is costly.
The dog should be bathed no more than once a month. You will either cause his skin to dry out, or his oil glands to go into overdrive, neither of which is good. If you have allergies, get a hairless dog.

dog shampoo, though it seems efficient to use a hypo shampoo on a dog their skin is a different pH level than ours and it is harsh on their skin.
it doesnt matter what shampoo you are using if your giving your dog a bath every week, your washing away all their natural oils and drying their skin out..1 bath a Month is more than enough.
why do you bathe your dog so often? it keeps the natual oils that protect their skin from forming.
