you should bathe a puppie once amonth and you should not use baby shampoo. Giving a up a bath too often reduces the oils on the skin that is necessary for healthy hair growth.

hi you can bath a puppy in Luke warm water and have the heating turned up full for when it gets out of the bath as it can catch cold you can get special puppy shampoo that will not strip any natural oils the pup has in its coat its quite cheap too so bath your pup and have loads of fun
Puppies (and dogs) should only be bathed when they are visibly dirty or have an odor. They have oils on their skin that keep their skin and fur healthy and if you wash it off too often, they can get skin irritation and their fur won't be as shiny. You should really use a special puppy shampoo to make sure his fur gets the proper conditioning.

Baby shampoo isnt a good soap to use for puppies you really need to get a puppy shampoo because they need extra oils in ther skin. Some shampoos could clog there pours in ther skin

I can't think of a problem using baby shampoo, but you shouldn't bath your puppy unless it is very dirty. Dogs have oils in their coats that they need to keep their skin in good condition. If it's just a bit muddy then wait until the mud is dry and brush it off.
you should only bathe a puppy every 2-3 weeks..or it will dry out the skin...baby shampoo will not hurt it...but a good puppy shampoo would be better it will have the extra moisturizers for the skin....try using fresh-n-clean for puppies,you should find it at ur local pet store....good luck with ur new puppy

I have two staffie puppies 1 at 6 months and 1 at 4months i have bathed 3 times since we have had them also i found that pampers sensitive baby wipes really good and it makes there coats really shiny as well. hope this helps.
because puppies give off puppy odour they can be a bit smelly .so its ok to bath them every couple of weeks in a puppy shampoo.dont use baby shampoo it will make them itch .and when you bath them make sure to wrap them up well and dont let them out for about an hour after otherwise they may get puppy flu. ok
I only really bath my pup when he needs it (been rolling in puddles or just really smells!)i worry it will dry out his skin and cause reactions otherwise and i just dont think they need it often i use puppy shampoo u can pick it up anywhere human shampoo might be a bit harsh.

yes its ok to bath a puppy but when they are 4 weeks old i put mine in the bath and only ever use baby shampoo that way it wont hurt there eyes and when you do make sure the water is not to cold and just nice and warm bear in mind they will be frightened so talk to them i do and my pups are fine have a towel ready to wrap them in and then dry them with a cool hair dryer dont let them get cold and you should only bath them when they need it as if you bath them to often it will dry all the oils in there skin good luck its good to get them use to haveing a bath so as they get older they get use to it if you start when they are young
NEVER use baby shampoo. If the pups are 12 weeks plus, use DILUTED puppy shampoo and be sure to have a warm room, warm towels and prevent hypothermia. Baby shampoo is too harsh for pets, it's pH is too strong for our fur-friends and can cause skin irritation.
