Can i use baby shampoo if i dont have any dog shampoo for my puppy?

Yes, it's OK. Shampoo for dogs is better because it's formulated just for dog's coat. Will not dry it out and will keep it looking nicer. Most dogs don't need frequent baths. Daily brushing and monthly bath is all. I don't bathe even monthly. With good brushing they don't smell and don't shed much. I think the food as much as the shampoo keeps them smelling good. Be sure to make puppy's bath a good experience. Warm room and warm water so he doesn't get cold and learn to hate baths. Be very gentle like you were washing a new born baby. Be firm too. Don't let him even think about jumping out!! It you let him get out, he'll try it every time and you and everything else in the room will be getting wet. Keep the shampoo out of his eyes and water out of his ears. I often don't wash the head the first few times just so it's a better and less scary experience for the pup. If it needs it, I've used a washcloth to clean the head and face instead. Like washing a childs face. Be sure you rinse all the shampoo out well from everywhere: armpits, between legs, stomach, under tail. That's why the sprayer is easier for me to use. Can reach all those placer easily. Dry them well. I bathe my little ones in the kitchen sink. Use the sprayer to rinse. Then wrap them in a big towel and carry them to the bath tub with a towel in the bottom so they don't slip to shake. I have the bathroom really warm. Gently I blow them somewhat dry with a blow dryer on low. Not in the face. The idea is to get them used to the dryer not to get them really dry. Wipe out ears with cotton balls. This is when I clip nails because they are softer when they are wet; easier to trim.

If you check out dog shampoos there are all kinds. Pick one you think smells great and you enjoy using as well as what will meet puppy's needs. Have fun with your new clean puppy. Can i use baby shampoo if i dont have any dog shampoo for my puppy?
