Is it healthy to give my puppy a bath daily with baby shampoo?

no, daily bath is too much. you will dry out his skin. once a week maybe. once a month yes.Is it healthy to give my puppy a bath daily with baby shampoo?
i do. the johnsons lavender kind. ive been doing it since the day i brought him home and hes five years old now. it didnt affect him in any way he's totally fine. JUST NOT EVERY DAYIs it healthy to give my puppy a bath daily with baby shampoo?
No. Baby shampoo is okay to use, but a pet should not be bathed any more than once a week. It drys out their skin and takes away their natural oils leaving them red and irritated.
no!
baby shampoo is actually really harsh on hair. why do you think they don't make adult hair wash that doesn't sting your eyes?
if you wash your dog too frequently you will dry his or her skin out. you need to use dog shampoo. their skin and hair is different than ours and require different shampoo.
No need to bathe him daily.

You should also not use baby shampoo on dogs. Their skin's pH is different from ours, and it could end up aggravating his skin, perhaps unfortunantely causing him to either lose his hair or have skin issues.

Puppy shampoo is relatively inexpensive, and you can dilute the shampoo. If you want to at least have him smell, nice, you could try to 'poof' him with a bit of baby powder, and make sure you then brush all the powder out of his coat.
If it's going potty and getting it on himself, yes it may be neccesary to bathe that often. Make sure you use PUPPY shampoo though.

If it's not getting messy, you should only bathe the puppy every month. You don't wanna remove the natural oils that keep his skin healthy.
No.
You will damage the coat of the puppy if you wash him/her daily.

Dogs have oils in their skin and coat that are essential to their health. Washing too often can lead to skin problems. 2x a month is sufficient.

If you are showing the dog, then of course things are different and you would be using dog specific shampoos.
NO. A dog should only be bathed when it is smelly or visiblly dirty otherwise you're going to wash away their natural oils and cause skin/fur/hair problems. The other exception would be if they were a theapy dog and they visit convalencent homes or hospitals that require the dog to be bathed the day before a visit.

And it's best to use a dog shampoo since it is designed for the betterment of the dog's skin/hair/fur. Humans and dogs are different creatures and should use the products specifically made for them.
No. Dog's skin in sensitive and doesn't produce as much oil as our skin. Dogs really should only be bathed monthly or less. My dogs get one about every 3 months. Just brush well and they will stay clean for quite some time.
you should never give any dog no matter what age a bath daily their skin is super sensitive!
No, it's not. They need the grease the have on their skin to have healthy hair and healthy skin.

.
No, why would you need to bathe the dog everyday? If you bathe it too often, it will dry out it's skin and it will get flaky and gross. Just bathe the dog when absolutely necessary.
No. Dries out the natural oils in the dog's coat and bad for his skin
no it is not good to bathe any dog on a daily basis. it strips the oils out of them and dries their skin out. if the pup is getting real dirty everyday, try to wipe it down with a warm plain washcloth and wrap him up in a towel and hold him close to you while he dries
I agree with what the others say, and also, it isn't a good idea to give your puppy a bath with, Baby shampoo, nor any kind of your shampoo, go get some that is FOR PUPPIES, it isn't that much, and it wont damage your pups coat. If he goes outside or whatever to get that dirty, try out some of the wipes they have for, DOGS kind of like a Baby wipe!

Good-Luck!
I'd go with every 3 or 4 days unless its being a proper grubby lil thing.
yes it is ok to use baby shampoo. no, you are not suppose to bathe him daily. his skin will dry up and he will suffer from the scratching. twice a week maybe
Unless he/she is rolling around in a mud pit all day, absolutely not. If the puppy smells offensive, take him/her to the vet as there may be an underlying medical reason.
do it weekly at the most, they need the oils in their skin to keep that shiny coat.
Only bathe a dog daily if they're constantly getting muddy, spilling things on themselves, or rolling in cat poop. A dog should only be bathed once a week, tops. Technically, you can use almost any kind of shampoo, and it won't make a difference. But just to be safe, use the special dog formula shampoos that can be found at your local pet care store.
i don't think dogs need daily baths, just when they start to stink...we use human shampoo on my dogs and it works fine.
Bathing your pup everyday will dry out his skin and coat.Pets should only be bathed once a week.
You should only bathe your dog roughly every 4-6 weeks. If he's very dirty and smelly, you can do it earlier. If he is still fairly clean, then you can wait longer. If you do it too frequently, it will get rid of all the natural oils in his fur.

Always use a shampoo made for dogs. Human shampoos are not pH balanced for use on dogs and will dry out the dog's skin.
no, dogs should never be shampooed, that's why there animals
Nope.. It's not healthy to bath them daily or weekly or even monthly.. You are destroying the protective oils that are there for the skin and coat to stay healthy... You are destroying your dogs skin.
no, it's not healthy.

It will strip his skin and fur of its natural oils. He needs them as protection against the elements. He could become more susceptible to germs and viruses.

if you're just trying to get him used to behaving in the bath, just make him wet. no shampoo.
ya that is so cute babe
I wash my dog when she was a puppy with johnsons baby shampoo thats what the breeder told me to use so id say its fine
