Can you use baby shampoo on a pug?

I heard that you should use either an oatmeal based dog shampoo, or (human) baby shampoo on pugs. Do you think baby shampoo is harmful to pugs? Can you use baby shampoo on a pug?
Pugs have very sensitive skin/coat so I recommend a sensitive puppy shampoo. If you are trying baby shampoo try a little bit at first...don't over do it. Make sure you rinse it out very, very well. Don't bathe your Pug too often. I bathe my boy once every 2-3 months unless he gets really dirty. Can you use baby shampoo on a pug?
You can, but a shampoo made for dogs is better. Human shampoos are no good because the strip all the oils off the doggy which is no good. Baby shampoo is milder so it's not as bad and since pugs have all those little wrinkles on their faces, baby shampoo can be good to use because it won't hurt their eyes. That said though, you may still want to use dog shampoo on the body because it is still better.
Use dog shampoo...the Oatmeal ones are great for dry skin, which Pugs sometimes have. People shampoo is too stringent for dogs' sensitive skin and eyes.
Baby shampoo is ok for dogs. It is very mild especially if you get an unscented version. Some of the off brand or highly scented dog shampoos can actually be worse. If you get a dog shampoo make sure to get an oatmeal based one or one that is unscented or a mild scent.
Yes. Its tearless harsh shampoo %26amp; I'm sure they have their natural coloring.
Yes but I dont recommend it. So technically NO!
You are better off getting dog shampoo, but baby shampoo can be used as a last resort, just be sure to rinse well.
According to several websites I found, very mild baby shampoo is fine. The reason human shampoo can't be used is that not only does it remove the dirt, but the essential oils in their fur and skin that offer protection from dryness and itchiness. Most places I found said that dog shampoo is still best, but that baby shampoo won't cause any problems. Hope this helps!
