7 week old peek-a-pooIs it ok to bathe a puppy in baby shampoo?

Oatmeal shampoo is better for them. NEVER use flea shampoo on dogs under 8 weeks OR what the label says which ever is older. Dish Detergent is NOT good for their skin either.
Not a good idea, it is acutally more drying than dog shampoo. We actually prefer oatmeal dog shampoo which has a great odor and not such drastic drying effects.
Oatmeal based doggie shampoo is the best thing to use. It keeps their skin nice and it doesn't smell too bad. Do not use human shampoos, they dry their skin.

As for the flea people. There are things that you can give your dog for fleas, try those first. I am not an advocate for the flea shampoos. They are harsh and abrassive, they smell bad, and most of them require the dog to sit in it for a period of time. So your dog gets chilly and uncomfortable. A flea preventative is the best solution. I prefer the all in one action of Sentinel.
Sure - but it won't kill fleas. Bath your puppy in Joy or Ivory dishwashing liquid. It gets them clean and kills fleas at the same time.

Good luck.
Um, yeah, just read a posting from earlier.. DO NOT wash your puppy in dishwashing detergent! That would horrible for your puppies skin. I rec getting puppy shamoo, the chemicals aren't as harsh as baby shampoo. It's only like 4 bucks, so it's def affordable, just get that.
I would think that's fine, I used to bathe my guinea pigs in baby shampoo, it was recommended in a book.
No, use dog shampoo, baby shampoo has soap and can harm your puppy.
perfectly fine just remember: becoz he is still so young his immune system wont be very strong. so dry him PROPERLY.

if its the doggy smell thats the probelm try using some dog deoderant.

ps: for future fefrence dont use flea shampoo on a small pup.
