Is it ok to wash my baby pomerarain with baby shampoo?

All the puppy shampoos I have found say not to use on puppies under 12 weeks old. My puppy is 8 weeks and I would love to have her smell a little better. Do you think its ok to use baby shampoo since it is so gentle? Is it ok to wash my baby pomerarain with baby shampoo?
Yes, it is fine. Just make sure to rinse well, and dry thoroughly...Don't allow a chill at his age..Keep the house warm while he dries, and use a blow dryer, on low setting.....as his immune system isn't developed, and a chill can allow disease to creep in...

I saw a study once, which I couldn't find to supply the reference for,

which was a review of the ingredients of various pet and people shampoos,

as well as a test of factors like pH and eye irritation. In the study, the

authors could find no significant differences between pet shampoos and

people shampoos. So I tell my clients to use whatever they like, or have on

hand.

I am sure that some shampoos work better on any particular dog than others

but that the brands that work well for that one dog may not be the best for

another dog.

I think that this information is probably also true for conditioners but

have not seen any reviews of the various conditioners to prove or disprove

that.

When medicated shampoos are indicated there is some variation between the

availability of some ingredients between pet shampoos and people shampoos

so it is important to follow your vet's recommendations if a medicated

shampoo is called for.

OMG!!!!

NOT just ';No.'; but ';***HELL NO!!!****';

That's ***NOT*** ';gentle'; ya dimmy! IT's STRONG!!!WAY *TOO* STRONG!!!

DON'T do it!!!
yes, baby shampoo is alright, no more than once a week or so. Also, you must keep it warm until it dries and if you get the bright idea to use a hair dryer on it, know this, baby skin is much more easily burned....I'd put a couple of towels in the dryer and towel it dry, then hold it or put it in a kennel wrapped in the towel, it's safer than using the blow dryer. Vaccinations are also due, be sure to get them started to help ward off canine diseases and get the Booster shots, a growing puppy's immune system changes constantly for the first few months.
No, puppy shampoos are also very gentle, but you shouldn't use either until they are 12 weeks old.
human shampoo can dry out his or her skin.
No actually shampoo for people is not good for dogs. I think you should get some deoderizing spray instead. You can find it in the area where the shampoo is.
yes it is ok
no use dog shampoo from your local pet store because your dog might get a allergic reaction and he could come very sick.
No, do not use people shampoo on your puppy. A dogs skin dries out very easily especially a pup so younge. I don't think its a good idea at 8wks but if you are going to do so, use puppy shampoo. Puppys get sick very easily. Makes sure you dry his hair with a blow dryer(not too hot) so he doesn't get a chill and get sick.
I'm not sure, it may harm her skin after this shampoo is manufactured for human skin, why don't you just rinse your dog for now then when she is a little older wash her in dog shampoo.
Baby shampoo is fine, I would just wash her body and stay away from head and face. Also dawn dishwashing liquid is very gentle for puppies.
It's o.k. But, they do sell shampoo 4 puppies. It does not have flea killer in it. It is only scented. (walmart or your local pet store)
