My daughter just spilled Johnson's baby shampoo onto my laptop, How do I get it out?

It spilled on the top of the keys and ran down in them. At first the touch pad stopped working, then the whole thing decided to stop powering up. HELP!!!! I NEED someone to have an genious idea!My daughter just spilled Johnson's baby shampoo onto my laptop, How do I get it out?
its most probably fried.

Take it your local PC specialist .... with your fingers crossed..........

turn it off !!!!!! open it up than lay keyboard down on a towel over night than wipe off with a soft towel ---- do not !!!!! use 409 or any cleaner on the key pad !!!!! than try to start as normal --- u might just get lucky
I hate to be the bearer of bad news- but your keyboard/touchpad and motherboard are more likely than not fried. If you are lucky enough to have accidental damage warranty coverage, send it in to have the components replaced. Otherwise it will be more expensive to fix your computer than just to replace it. Remove your hard drive-Hopefully you will be able to salvage everything on the drive, and more than likely use the drive in another computer.

Next time liquid gets spilled onto the computer TURN IT OFF RIGHT AWAY AND DO NOT TURN IT ON. Circuitry can handle getting wet, and when it dries it'll work (same as getting a cell phone wet, and letting it dry out), but once you introduce current, everything shorts out, and it becomes a very expensive paperweight.
Go to a computer store and get it fixed, if nothing happened (like errors on your computer, not working) I'd just leave it alone.
get a q-tip(the thing you clean your ears with) and go down into the key pad with it.it should absorb most of it.
