Can I give my small white mouse a bath with water and baby shampoo?

He needs a bath, considering where he came from and it you could just tell me how to bathe him step by step: 10 points!

:] Thanks!!!!Can I give my small white mouse a bath with water and baby shampoo?
I know this sounds weird but get a towel, put it on a counter then get a pie tin, and then put the tin in the sink, then fill the tin with warm water, then put baby shampoo in the water, and wash your mouse with a washcloth, baby shampoo, and warm water and wash him/her gently then after awhile take him/her out and then dry him with the towel. Can I give my small white mouse a bath with water and baby shampoo?
U R GOIN 2 FRIGGIN KILL UR MOUSE. UR NOT SUPPOSED 2 GET THEM WET, AND PLUS THE SOAP ALONE COOD KILL HIM. SO, IF U ALREADY GAVE HIM A BATH, THEN EXPECT HIM 2 DIE, STUPID. Report Abuse

Bathing mice is a really bad, risky, not to mention totally unecessary idea. The main problem is their scaredy nature. Something like water will be a new experience, and he will freak out. You might lose grip of him, and either squish him, or let him drown. They are just difficult to hold when terrified, that's all.

Baby shampoo for people is absolutely not appropriate. The pH levels are much too high, and may burn his skin, or delicates such as eyes, ears and mouth even if it doesn't enter those areas. The only safe soap for mice are those specifically manufactured for their size.

The other thing, is that you will need to dry extremely well. Leaving even a bit of moisure can result in him catching pnemonia as they are rather sensitive to this as well.

What has he gotten into that he needs a bath from? Mice clean them selves just as much as cats. They are literally self-cleaning, and never need extra help. It does not matter where you bought him from.

If he has something messy on his fur, all you have to do is get a damp cloth, and whipe it off him. No need for any soap at all, and a lot less risky.
the sink. lukewarm water. small animal shampoo. lather. rinse. dry. done

make sure not to get any in his eyes, ears, or nose and dry him completely so he stays warm. not all like baths, so keep that in mind as well...as he might bite in defense. it happens
that really not a good idea. it would be safer to give him the kind of sand that chinchillas bathe in
DO NOT BATHE HIM!!! it is unnessisary, and can be very harmful to the animal.
yes... i guess... but y would u? I clean my hamsters with a wet Q-tip with a little of bath soap on it in my sink.. try that!
