Is it ok to use natural baby shampoo on puppies?

i was just wondering if you could use natural baby shampoo on puppies? will it dry out there skin?Is it ok to use natural baby shampoo on puppies?
a big NO. If you dont believe me ask your vetIs it ok to use natural baby shampoo on puppies?
No. Get a shampoo from the vet. They will let you know which one.
no you shouldnt use human shampoo on animals. they have different conditioners and oils in them and may cause skin problems. it is best to use tearless puppy shampoo.
Are you smoken... No human shampoo; you might hurt the dogs immune system. Beleive it or not, Ingrediants in human shampoo's are questionable. Use small amounts of basic soap....light-soap if you have to wash your dog. Their skin dry's quickly and there bodies do not secreat much oil. Only wash your dog once every 2 to 3 weeks to prevent stripping natural body oil and scratching.

peace
No, you should never use human shampoos or soaps on animals. Use a good quality dog shampoo with oatmeal to help prevent the skin from drying out. Excessive bathing can cause dry skin so once a month baths are good enough.

Also, how old is the puppy? Do not bath a puppy younger than 8 weeks of age and dry the puppy off as much as possible and let it stay indoors while still drying off.
I just watched the AKC DVD and they said that the mildest baby shampoo is ok for dogs.

but i use dog shampoo for my dog
NO.

Human skin (and shampoo) is acidic.

Dog skin (and shampoo) is neutral.

Even the mildest of baby shampoos is designed for acidic bodies, so it's going to cause irritation on a dog.
My vet told me the best thing to use on a puppy is baby shampoo. Especially if you're having any problems with fleas, since you can't use most of the flea medication on puppies. It is also very gentle, and won't dry out their skin.
